What does it mean … for me? It’s discussing the work to do with my customer, choosing together every single detail and advising him (or her) on the best choice considering his needs.
This includes the choice of the handle material – I always try to understand roots and history – and the characteristics of the person who will use my shaving brush. And together we find the right product … tailor-made!
The beauty created by a handmade object has a deep meaning. It creates an intimate relationship between those who created it and those who choose it for themselves or as a gift. The ‘know-how’, from the rarest and most traditional crafts to the most innovative and contemporary practices, preserves a unique charm and preciousness. What is precious must be cultivated and enhanced.
This heritage of gestures and workmanship is not in contrast with digital technologies. In fact, the higher the level of digitalization of our lives, the higher the pleasure and wonder of admiring, giving and loving a handmade object.
